What the mountains tell us

I am blessed. I live in a place of beauty where you can listen for the stream seeping through a patch of flowers. I live in a place of wildness where if you look you may spot a female moose and see the ears of her calf flicker as they hide from the sun. I live in a place of wildflowers and cool breezes that arrive as you hike through a kaleidoscope of colors . And in these moments where my wife and I sit in silence and take it all in, we both know these moments are miracles in themselves...what the mountains tell us.

Sir you are truly blessed to live in an area with such beauty!!! I wish I had stuff like that to photograph, but nope im stuck in Houston. Beautiful shot!

Mark not bad for a B&W guy ;), Love your Title, and image description!

Thanks Paul! I much prefer B&W but i put honestly first. If an image looks better in color..color it is! Most of the time I just never do anything with the color image. I will be in Mexico soon and some of my friends are laughing about how I'm going to capture it! My answer...deliberately.

In a universe far, far away, long before my first PC, I was taught when adjusting old color CRTs is that after adjusting the RGB channels to judge the color correctness view it as B&W through desaturation if the screen still looks good you RBG adjustments were correct. Same is true today in the digital darkroom.

Have a Great Trip!
