The "Mathildenhöhe Darmstadt" ensemble has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 24 July 2021. It consists of two sub-areas (main area, three-house group) and also includes the Russian Chapel, which was built shortly before the artists' colony was founded.
