Bald Eagle in a pasture.

560mm · f/8 · 1/1250th · ISO 1000

I was driving home after doing some random landscapes. This eagle was perched on a stump on the road side. I slowed down, and he flew off and eventually perched on this dead tree in a pasture. I decided to go for it. Yes, break the rule of chasing wildlife rather than being in place ahead of time. I put the telephoto on the camera but he was too far. I decided to walk across a corn field hoping to get a closer shot(I was so excited that I left the truck running). I walked slowly about 300 meters toward him, and miraculously, he didn’t fly off (eagles can spot a rabbit at 3-4 miles; so he definitely saw me). I made several images and got lucky with this one.
