I return regularly to St. Barbara’s Chapel between Strážovice and Svatobořice-Mistřín. This small chapel in the middle of the fields is one of the most iconic places in the Moravian Tuscany region. When I was here during the first weekend of April, the surrounding fields had not been ploughed and the whole scene felt rather plain, so I thought I would skip Barborka this year. A week later, on my way back from photographing the blooming mirabelle trees, I stopped here again. And I’m glad I did. In the meantime, the fields had gained beautiful texture, and in the last rays of the setting sun the chapel looked truly stunning.
