Mixing Film and Night - New for Me

Here are a couple long exposure shots using my original 50 year old Minolta SR-T201 and kit lens shooting Fujifilm Neopan Acros 100 II. Both images were taken just at the end of blue hour.

The first is an attempt at star trails. I did try a light to capture the metal sculpture, however, there was quite an accumulation of bird droppings that instantly blew out the highlights.

f/2.8 - 14 minutes - ISO 100 - 28mm

The second image was taken outside our motel room and looking North... towards town.

f/1.7 - 30 minutes - ISO 100 - 50mm

Like the first one, looks monstrous!

Wow! 50 years old? Just a little younger than me. Nice shots. I like the inclusion of the dragon in the first one. Good post, Dean!

50 years? That’s about the time I got into photography and purchased my first camera - a used Russian Zenith E SLR which I paid $35 for.
I had so many good times taking pics with that thing. It formed the foundation of my early learning.
I am jealous that you still have such an awesome part of your history.

Yesterday, this bird seemed to invite the sparrows to take a bath.
