Dan Flavin (Daniel Nicholas Flavin, born April 1, 1933 in Jamaica, Queens, New York City, died November 29, 1996 in Riverhead, New York, USA) was an artist of minimalism who achieved fame worldwide due to his light installations.
The Hirshhorn Museum is an art museum on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. and was designed by the architect Gordon Bunshaft. It is part of the Smithsonian Institution and was designed as a museum of contemporary and modern art in the United States.
